Rumor had it that manzanita branches were fire proof. They were also rumored to be unbreakable. That’s why I chose a branch to be my logo - strong, unbreakable and fire resistant. Like me.
Each piece is One-of-a-Kind. I upcycle old, unwanted, unloved jewelry into new designs. I can replicate a design, but not duplicate. So if you see one you like, but would like to change something, let me know. I can do custom orders.
Why Choose Us?
Manzanita Jewelry came about when I was off of work on medical leave - almost by accident. A Hancock Fabrics was going out of business, and their string beads, wire and other jewelry making tools at remarkable discounts. What started as an easy hobby, became a passion and an obsession.
Manzanita is durable, strong and was rumored to be fire proof. It is in actuality fire resistant. I consider it unbreakable. I consider myself unbreakable. The name is appropriate. I hope you enjoy my product as much as I did making them. It’s going to be hard to let some of these go.
Most of my products are made from upcycled components. I go to local thrift stores, buy unloved jewelry and reuse the beads in new designs. No one is exactly the same. I can recreate but never duplicate.

I am, like most women, a collage of various times in my life. I’m a single mother, a daughter, a sister, a best friend, one of the funniest people I know. I like to rip things up and make them better. Never considered myself an artist until a very good friend, who is an amazing artist, told me that I had talent. Shocked me.
